How Do I Get Started Hosting?

Switch to Host Mode:

Go to your profile page, select “Switch Profile,” and choose “Host.

Set Up Your Business:

• Select “Create a Business.” You can use a different name than your space name.
• Configure your payment preferences in the “Business Services” tab under the “Earnings” section by selecting “Connect.”
• Restspace partners with Stripe to securely process payments. From Stripe Connect, you can manage earnings, view transaction history, and send payouts directly to your bank account.

List Your Space:

Follow the prompts to share details about your space.

That’s it! These simple steps set you up as a Restspace host and prepare you to offer great experiences to your guests.

Tell Us About Your Space

Your listing showcases what makes your space special.

Choose Your Space Type:

Options include private spaces, such as a bathroom or relaxation area. Restspace allows guests to book in 15-minute intervals.

Add Key Details:

• Include the location and the number of guests your space can accommodate.
• Take high-quality, landscape-oriented photos that highlight your space’s features.

Highlight What Makes Your Space Unique:

Mention important details like parking availability, stair locations, or other features guests need to know.

Organize the Details

Set Space Rules:

Add rules for your space, such as pet restrictions, smoking policies, or other guidelines.

Manage Your Availability:

• Set hours and days that work for you.
• Decide how you’d like to handle bookings:
• Automatic: Approved instantly upon request.
• Manual: Review each request before approval.

Set Pricing:

• Pricing is entirely up to you.
• Adjust pricing anytime through the “Business Services” tab in your profile.

Submit for Review:

• Restspace reviews listings within 72 hours to ensure quality and compliance with local laws.
• Once approved, your listing goes live, and you can start hosting!

Clean Thoroughly:

• Ensure the space is spotless and free of dust, hair, or mold.
• Stock essentials like hand towels, soap, and toilet paper.

Keep extras of all essentials for a seamless guest experience.

Provide Check-In Instructions:

• Be ready to let guests into your space.
• If you can’t greet them in person, use a lockbox or smart lock. (Need one? Let us know!)
• You can edit check-in details anytime in the Restspace App.
